Report says abliterated AI models appear online within days of release
WIRED reports Tech Against Terrorism tested 134 AI models with more than 200 prompts tied to terrorist and extremist use, and only two passed completely. The report found abliterated open-weight models now appear online in less than three days on average, down from more than 24 days in 2024.
Why it matters. Open-weight models can lose guardrails within days, raising misuse risk for agent builders and operators that rely on model safety controls.
