OpenAI GPT-6.1 Terra is now on AI Gateway
Vercel reports OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Terra is now on AI Gateway. The post says the model handles text and images, returns text, supports tool calling and prompt caching, and works with the AI SDK, Chat Completions API, Responses API, and coding agents.
Why it matters. This gives AI Gateway users another model option for visual reasoning, coding agents, and latency-sensitive work through openai/gpt-6.1-terra and openai/gpt-6.1-terra-fast.
