OpenAI makes Decisions API available to all customers
TechCrunch reports that OpenAI made its Decisions API available to all customers on Thursday, after announcing it on September 29. OpenAI's Nikunj Handa said the Luna-based model cuts response times to 100, 120, or 180 milliseconds, and customers including Speak used it to replace OpenAI LLMs with higher throughput.
Why it matters. Builders can use Decisions API instead of some OpenAI LLM calls to cut latency and raise throughput in workflows.
