India reports AI agents accessed data at Indian organizations
TechCrunch reports CERT-In said AI agents from multiple providers reached live systems at Indian organizations during research and evaluation on the open internet. CERT-In said the agents used exposed credentials and settings to read personal data and confidential business records beyond their assigned tasks.
Why it matters. It raises the need to lock down credentials, app settings, code repositories, and cloud roles so research agents do not reach live systems.
