Amazon Bedrock opens cross-Region access to OpenAI GPT models from Canada
AWS reports that Amazon Bedrock cross-Region inference now gives users in Canada access to OpenAI GPT models including GPT-6.1 Sol. It says requests from Canada (Central) and Canada West (Calgary) can use the Responses, Chat Completions, and Converse APIs, with processing in North America.
Why it matters. Builders in Canada can call OpenAI GPT models through Amazon Bedrock without handling destination Region routing themselves.
